Kit Hung was born in Hong Kong, 1977.  He is a graduate student in the department of Film Video and New Media at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  He studied design in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and taught film and video in the School of Creative Media in the Hong Kong City University. 

His first narrative short film, [:nv:s:b/e peop/e] has won the distinguish award in the Hong Kong Independent Film and Video Award, the second film I AM NOT WHAT YOU WANT, has won the Special Jury Prize, in the Golden Dragon Film Festival in Belgium.  His films have been invited to festivals worldwide, they including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Transmediale Berlin, the Berlin International Film Festival, Art In Motion@USC and Mill Valley Film Festival...etc  In 2003, he was selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus, organized by the Berlin International Film Festival. 

"Buffering..." is the first experimental film Kit has made during his graduate studies in the United States.
